Institute of Public Health of the Republic of North Macedonia, in cooperation with NGO “Healthy Future” and support from the Ministry of Health, on the occasion of September 29 – World Heart Day organizes a special program to mark this day on September 29, 2019 (Sunday) from 8.30 am to 1.00 pm in the City Park in Skopje.
This year, the motto is A simple promise … for MY HEART, for YOUR HEART, for ALL OUR HEARTS, reminding us of the importance of a healthy lifestyle and regular preventive examinations for timely detection of heart disease and prevention of premature death.
At the event, there will be checked/measured blood sugar and cholesterol, blood pressure, body mass index and expert advice will be given. Also many leaflets and other health-educational material by health professionals from the Institute of Public Health and the Jan Mitrev Clinic.
At 12.00hrs, mass media statements will be given by experts from the IPH and Healthy Future NGO, and yoga programs and recreation exercises will also be presented as part of the program, also by competent individuals, accompanied by adequate music. Representatives of the Ministry of Health, Health Insurance Fund, youth representatives, representatives of bicycle companies, citizens’ associations, pensioners and others are invited to this event.
We hope that this year as well, we will all celebrate World Heart Day with dignity!
