- monitors and studies the situation with injuries and violence at local, national, regional and global level;
- monitors and studies the risk factors for injuries and violence;
- keeps records of injuries according to the existing legislation with EU standards;
- participates in designing a national information system for tracking injuries as recommended by the WHO;
- prepares reports, analyzes and expert opinions on the safety or condition of injuries and violence;
- prepares national programs for control and prevention of injuries and violence;
- participates in the preparation of a national strategy and action plan for the control and prevention of injuries and violence;
- proposes appropriate measures for organization of health services for the control and prevention of injuries: pre-hospital care, transport of the injured, hospital care and treatment and rehabilitation of injured;
- analyzes of social and medical aspects of injuries and violence, and economic analyzes of specific intervention programs for control and prevention of injuries and violence;
- performs health education activities and other activities to promote safety in the community;
- prepares educational and promotional materials for the safety of all structures in all areas of all injuries to the general public and the mass media;
